News – Achieve Cycling Team 2016

After a fantastic season that saw the team win over sixty races, Achieve Cycling lay out their riders and aspirations for 2016

Despite the limitations of the system, they where happy to finish the season ranked 5th in the British Cycling team rankings showing a steady progression from 33rd in 2013 and 12th in 2015.

The team had a number of solid wins at the Billy Warnock Memorial Race, The North East Divisional Championships in addition to a number of rounds in the Tyne Tees RR League. This was combined with an improvement at National A level and completing the season with the Tour of Poyang Lake in China followed up by the Hong Kong Cyclothon.

As the team moves forward we have a number of exciting new partners that will be announced in the New Year along with a fresh new look, an exciting race programme and a host of new riders.

Key Aims
– Continuing to progress at a National A level
– Success at a National level
– 25 UCI race days
– Pathway of progression for youth and juniors, with a regional level provison
– Maximising publicity for associated partners and sponsors

The teams hope to mix youth and experience with a split of northern and southern riders.

We have retained seven key riders from 2015 and added seven new riders including promising young riders Oliver Maxwell (formerly SportsGrub Kuota), Tom Neale (formerly Catford CC), Charlie Tanfield (formerly Easton Ritte), exciting talents Dan Bigham and Tim Home and riders that can offer a wealth of experience in Rob Orr, Martin Ford and Colin Sturgess.
