News: 60th Archer Spring Criterium

Who is the best First Category rider decided in peer group competition? This will be decided in the 60th Archer Spring Criterium at Hillingdon circuit on Saturday, 9th April as it is unique, as far as is known, in the BC calendar which discourages such races which exclude Elites.

But then the Archer Spring Criterium is rather special as this is its 60th year, second oldest in the country only to the Lincoln GP, one year older. So there is a £1,000 prize list.

For most of its history it was a support event for the prestigious Archer GP, now lacking sponsorship, and was intended for up and coming riders. Its success in this search is shown by it being won by Bradley Wiggins, Roger Hammond, Matt Stephens, Steve Heffernan, and Graham Webb, etc.on their way up the ladder.
