News: Two Gold for GB at Euros
Day 2 saw gold medals won by the Mens Under 23 Team Sprint & Under 23 Women in the Team Pursuit at the European Championships in Italy
The Team Sprint trio of Jack Carlin, Joe Truman and Ryan Owens were first to win Gold on day 2 and were followed shortly after by the Under 23 Women’s team pursuit quartet of Emily Kay, Dannielle Khan, Manon Lloyd and Emily Nelson. … continued after advert
The Men’s Under 23 Team Pursuit won bronze on the day with Matt Bostock, Joe Holt, Mark Stewart and Ollie Wood recording a time of 3:59.396. Junior Reece Wood won his second medal of the week with an impressive ride in the bronze medal final for the Individual Pursuit. Fred Wright was sixth in qualifying.
In the women’s individual pursuit, Eleanor Dickinson was fourth whilst Emily Tillett was ninth place in the qualifying round. In the men’s 1km time trial, Jake Stewart was sixth and Hamish Turnbull tenth. In the Junior Women’s Sprint, Sophie Capewell and Lauren Bate-Lowe have made it through to the quarter finals before being beaten. In the minor final ,Bate-Lowe won from Capewell.
