Full Gas Cycling Ltd and Lee Valley VeloPark join forces to launch a brand new event for the Easter Weekend
GOOD FRIDAY RACING makes it’s debut at Lee Valley VeloPark on Friday March 30th 2018, offering something for everyone. The recently-formed partnership between London-based organisers Full Gas Cycling Ltd, Lee Valley VeloPark and Vibrant Partnerships is using it’s combined experience to create a brand new and exciting day of indoor track racing for spectators of all ages.
For the first time, amateur cyclists from across the country will have the opportunity to compete in the World Class facilities of Lee Valley VeloPark in front of a paying audience and on a completely level playing field. All riders are treated equal, whether from local clubs, elite development teams or International federations. Good Friday Racing is a truly OPEN event.

Full Gas Cycling founder Tony Gibb says “as times change, so must cycling. This Good Friday, the riders will be able to experience challenging and fair racing in a completely open field while supporters and spectators can buy very reasonably-priced tickets for a full day of fast and exciting track racing.”
The racing programme begins at 1pm and features over 100 riders – male and female – competing in a fast-moving mix of Sprint and Endurance competitions, including qualifying time trials, match sprints, scratch, elimination and points races. No fewer than 5 titles and trophies will be up for grabs.
Jeremy Northrop, General Manager at Lee Valley VeloPark commented: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be hosting this brand new event in partnership with Full Gas Cycling. Good Friday Racing is set to feature a unique combination of professional and club-level riders. This is not only a fantastic opportunity to support track cycling at grass roots level but it will also be a great day out for the whole family, whether you’re cycling mad or a first time spectator – there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
Lee Valley VeloPark features the award-winning 6,000-seat velodrome where the British Olympic and Paralympic teams set the London 2012 Games alight. The venue now plays host to series of major cycling and non-cycling events such as Six Day London, the UCI Track Cycling World Championships and the Indoor Rowing Championships.
Ticket prices for the whole day range from £7 for under 18s to £38 for a family of four (with unlimited re-admission). To find out more information or to pre-book tickets please visit Ticket Master.
