Alex McCrae wins in style the 68th Edition of the Sloan Trophy in the North East organised by Beaumont Trophy organiser Peter Harrison

Result: 68th Sloan Trophy

After the postponement of the Sloan Trophy last year due to the pandemic, the organiser of the Beaumont Trophy got the event running again this year. It was the 68th edition and would have been the 69th if not for Covid. Peter says “It is a great race to run and had a very worthy winner. A group of four went away on the first laps including Mark Jaggerwho was third and took three of the Primes. However the star of the race was the Winner Alex McCrae who rode across a 2 minute gap to the leaders and then tore them apart on the last few miles.”
