Norwich, 20th August 2023 — £2,000 prize pot !  — Norwich Grasstrack Racing, the beloved and historic cycling event, is returning to the city. This year’s edition promises to be an action-packed day filled with exhilarating track racing for senior men, women, juniors, and youth. The event will also feature the highly anticipated British National Championships Women’s 400m race. Norwich Grasstrack Racing is proudly sponsored by leading brands, including Pauls Cycles, QUOC, Duration Brewing, Blades of Norwich, Working Title, Fika Norwich, and ACP Performance Bike Fit.

Held at the picturesque Hewett Academy in Norwich (NR1 2PL), Norwich Grasstrack Racing will kick off at 10:00 and continue until 17:00. The event will feature a wide range of track races, catering to different age groups and skill levels, providing a thrilling and inclusive experience for all participants and spectators.

For senior men, women, and juniors, there will be a full day of track racing, including both short distance and endurance races. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their speed, agility, and tactical prowess as they compete for victory on the grass track. These races will be part of the prestigious Short Distance and Endurance Grass Track League, adding an extra level of excitement and competition to the event.

The youth category will also have their chance to shine, with a series of races specially designed to introduce young riders to the world of track racing. These races aim to nurture their passion for cycling, while providing a supportive and fun environment for their development.

In addition to the thrilling races, attendees can look forward to witnessing the Women’s 400m British National Championships. This highly anticipated race will see the nation’s top female athletes competing for the coveted title, showcasing their skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

Beyond the track races, Norwich Grasstrack Racing embraces the spirit of community. The event will feature an all-day extravaganza, showcasing the best of Norfolk businesses, entertainment, food, and drink. Local vendors, including renowned brands like Pauls Cycles, QUOC, Duration Brewing, Blades of Norwich, Working Title, Fika Norwich, and ACP Performance Bike Fit, will be present, offering their unique products and experiences to enhance the day’s festivities.

Norwich Grasstrack Racing is a testament to the collaborative efforts of various organisations and individuals who are passionate about promoting sports and supporting the local community. Last year’s event saw an estimated attendance of [500-1000] enthusiastic participants and spectators, and this year’s event is expected to draw an even larger crowd.
