RR Result: Capenwray Road Races

Round One of the Proper Northern Road Race Series took place on Easter Sunday in the Lancashire spring sunshine (and deceptively cold wind!). The Men’s race stayed relatively compact and after 8 attritional laps of the lumpy circuit, around fifteen riders started the final ascent of Sunny Bank together. They were led over the finish in a brilliant sprint by Tyler Hannay of Saint Piran followed by teammate Dylan’s Westley and then Jacob Smith.

In the afternoon, the women’s race was won by a dominant performance from Robyn Clay Das Hutchinson Brother UK – breaking away from the peloton mid-race and building up nearly two minutes of advantage before being followed over the line by teammates Morven Yeoman and Tamsin Miller for a podium lockout by her team.
