The Wentworth Woodhouse Grand Prix, Rotherham
The Organisational team of the long running Ryedale Grand Prix, British Cycling’s Yorkshire Region has relocated to South Yorkshire for the new Wentworth Woodhouse Grand Prix. For the first time this magnificent Grade I Listed Palladian Mansion will play host to a major cycle race.

Renowned for having the longest frontage of a home in Europe. the Mansion presides over the extensive parklands of the Fitzwilliam Estate, which will feature with each lap of the race as it passes along a 4km stretch of closed roads.

Out on the open roads, sections of the course may already be familiar to some having featured in events such as the Danum Trophy (April this year) in years gone by. Now the route through the Fitzwilliam Estate adds a new dimension to what promises to be a fast flowing and spectacular event.

Once again, organiser Bob Howden’s Yorkshire company, Grass Concrete Limited, takes its sponsorship into the 20th year to support the race with its Grasscrete environmental paving brand
