Result: Mid Shropshire Wheelers Friday Night Cyclo-Cross

It was another sell out at the Mid Shropshire Wheelers Friday Night Cyclo-Cross at Shrewsbury Sports Village! Alex Hart set off in the Junior Senior Veterans race, to plan. Go out hard and go as hard as you can for as long as you can but didn’t factor in a front wheel puncture and a tumble or a lowly gridded Sam Morris making a return to cyclo-cross.

Catching Vets, Nick Whitley and Chris Pook, Sam rode straight through and towed the Vets back to Alex after his mishaps and there was a brief lead for Chris Pook. Going into the bell lap Sam took it way too hot on the final descent, took a big fall and unfortunately retired winded. Alex didn’t look back for long and took two wins out of two starts with the Vets a little closer this week.
