CX Result: Western Cyclo-Cross League 1
The Western Cyclo-Cross League got underway on Sunday 14th September with Round 1 at Purdown, Bristol, hosted by Bristol Road Club. Over 130 riders tackled the course famous for its steep hill and a fast, technical circuit overlooking the city.

Senior & U23 Open
Harry Sowden rode strongly to take the win ahead of Ben Vangasse (BW Cycling) and Joseph Taylor (Magspeed Racing).

Veteran 40
Glyndwr Griffiths (WestSide Coaching 73 Degrees) claimed victory, with Nicholas English (AeroCoach) second and George Holland (Brixton Cycles) third.

Veteran 50
Anthony White (Fenland Clarion CC) held off Joe Loader (Reflex Nopinz) and Peter Kench (Ase Racing) for the top step.

Veteran 60
The win was claimed by Patrick Foley.

Women
Jennifer Hudson (FTP-Fulfil The Potential-Racing) took the Senior Women’s win, ahead of Elena Taylor (Magspeed Racing) and Junior rider Darcy Walker (WestSide Coaching 73 Degrees).

Juniors
Isaac Pearcey (Avid Sport) led the way, finishing ahead of Zach Dowling (Royal Dean Forest CC).

Youths
owan Coulthard (CTW Racing) won the U16 race, followed home by Nathan Morris (Avid Sport) and Max Robinson. Theo Burbridge-Kelly (Bristol South CC) was first U14, with Iestyn Leeming (Sulis Scorpions Youth CC) in second.
