News: Brother Renews Sponsorship of Canyon Eisberg
Global brand Brother UK has announced it is to renew its sponsorship of Team Canyon Eisberg into the 2018 cycling season
The elite team enjoyed a year full of cycling success in 2017 as Bike Channel Canyon, including a third place and two jerseys at the Tour de Yorkshire and two individual wins and one round victory at the Tour Series.
The 14-strong male team will be kick-starting the season with five new riders including Team GB track star Andy Tennant, a six-time European champion in the velodrome, Charlie Tanfield who will be joining his brother Harry on the team and junior national champion Louis Rose-Davies.
The new riders will join existing top talent including Chris Opie, Jack Pullar, James Lowsley-Williams, Rory Townsend and Max Stedman. The British UCI Continental team will receive jersey sponsorship from Brother UK throughout the 2018 season, competing at high profile national events including the Tour Series in May.
This latest announcement follows a string of cycling sponsorship announcements from Brother UK, as the Manchester-based technology solutions and services business further builds on its commitment to the sport. Commenting on the new team, Phil Jones MBE and Managing Director of Brother UK, said: “Brother UK has invested in the cycling sector for more than six years and 2018 looks set to be another thrilling chapter in the history of our relationship with the sport.”
“It was impressive to see the team in action last year, they lit up a number of races and the new riders are a fantastic addition. We know they’ll work hard to deliver an excellent season and we’re looking forward to working with them.”
Owner and Sports Director of Canyon Eisberg, Tim Elverson, said: “We have a strong relationship with our key partners and it was great for us to know that I had the support from Brother UK going into 2018. The commitment Brother UK continues to show cycling in the UK is huge and we are proud to have them as part of our team. I’m looking forward to seeing how we can push both brands forward this season.”
Brother UK has invested in the cycling sector since 2012 with the provision of neutral service vehicles to high-level domestic races and sportives. It is also the official print, imaging and results partner for the Tour Series, the OVO Energy Women’s Tour of Britain and the OVO Energy Tour of Britain.
