News: Trinity Team for 2021

After an interrupted but very successful 2020 season, Trinity Racing can confirm that they will step up to Continental level for the 2021 road season. They will also add another dimension to their 2021 plans with a strong focus on MTB, Gravel and E-Racing.

The Trinity Racing road team, registering as a British Continental team, will be led by current double Irish National Champion, Ben Healy. He will be surrounded by a host of talented young riders on the new road roster, including Thomas Gloag who had a breakout performance at the U23 Giro d’Italia in September.

Currently competing in the 2020/21 Cyclo-cross season, young British riders Ben Turner and Cameron Mason will remain with Trinity moving into 2021 and both riders are excited to compete across road, MTB and Gravel throughout the year.

Team founder, Andrew McQuaid, commented: Many teams have fought for survival this year and we were no different, but thanks to incredible support from our partners we have been able to grow our roster and build on our Team’s vision… stepping up to the Continental level for 2021. It is clearly evident from Tom Pidcock’s great success (with the Team) this year, you do not have to focus on one discipline to be successful, especially when you are just starting out in your career.”

Alongside their road division, Trinity adds a roster of four MTB riders, which includes American cycling prodigy Christopher Blevins, who finished 2nd to Trinity’s Tom Pidcock at the U23 MTB World Championships in October. Blevins is joined by fellow American Haley Batten, who will spearhead the attack in the women’s MTB division with Italian Chiara Teocchi. All three will have a strong focus on earning selection for the re-scheduled Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Finally young Brazilian rider Alex Malacarne will complete the makeup of Trinity’s MTB division, stepping up to U23 from the junior ranks. A long term vision will be built around all four riders to help them achieve their 2021 goals and beyond.
