The rider line up for the Matrix Fitness-Vulpine racing team for the FriendsLife Womens Tour revealed

Team News – Matrix Fitness-Vulpine Women’s Tour Line Up

Leading the team will be Dutch sprinter Sigrid Jochems. Sigrid returned to the cycling scene in 2013 and immediately make an impact on the world stage. We will be looking to her to provide us with an experienced mind in the finale of the 5 stages.

Providing us with more top level experience will be Helen Wyman. Having ridden three World Road Race Championships for Great Britain, Helen will be looking to guide our younger riders through the race and ensure they have an opportunity to take their chances to impress.

Jo Tindley who has been in strong form in 2014 taking three early season wins before the team training camp, will be adding strength to the team alongside Harriet Owen, who is coming into form at just the right moment. Jessie Walker and Penny Rowson, both from Sheffield will be completing the line-up and will be looking to take any chance available to gain experience in what is sure to be the most progressive stage race on the international calendar for women in 2014.

The team are very honoured to have been selected and we have taken the invitation very seriously. We have prepared hard on the course itself and have tried to give ourselves the best opportunity to gain results. We will be up against the very best riders in the world, it will be challenging from start to finish, and we hope to see and meet as many people as possible who are out cheering the riders on.
