To mark the last of the last of the Milton Keynes Bowl series, a Handicap race was run on the large outer circuit,and 40 riders signed on, with a cool summer evening facing them. The race was split into three groups with the long markers having nearly two laps start with the middle group, mainly C/D riders a lap up.

All three groups worked purposely but halfway through, the C/D’s made contact with the front group. The scratch group, being driven by the Twenty3c.co.uk and CC Luton boys, joined the rest with about 10 minutes to go with many struggling to stay with the pace.

John Peters attacked with two laps to go and looked to be in for the win but unfortunately he was caught with 200 metres to go. What was left of the bunch sprinted for the win where Mike Jackson edged out Simon Cannings for his second successive win.

A big thanks to all those that have helped/marshalled at the Bowl this year,and we hope to return next year.
