Round 1 – Ryde – Isle of Wight, Tour Series
NFTO start the first race of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series, which kicks off on the Isle of Wight with a champion line-up on Thursday.
“The team say “We’re looking forward to being back and racing the Tour Series. We had three individual wins last season, one team round win and won the overall green jersey, so we’re hoping to improve on last seasons results and make the new Aberdeen jersey proud with the ultimate aim to be to take the overall team and round wins this year too”.
Ambitious goals for the team but with the following line up, it is certainly achieveable but will not be easy so close are the teams matched in 2015.

The team comes into round one with an experienced line-up in relatively good form, after the team suffered a few riders go down with illness or injury recently.
Steele von Hoff is a criterium specialist and will be proudly debuting the national colours of Australia as the National Criterium Champion.
Rob Partridge, Johnny McEvoy and Ian Bibby are each previous round winners of the Tour Series and have all been members of a winning Tour Series overall Team, so they understand the unique requirements to succeed in this series. Even the youngest member of the team Zach May is an experienced crit rider and the current Welsh Crit Champion.
Dave Povall also comes with a wealth of experience directing teams at the Tour Series. In 2013 he directed the most successful Tour Series Team ever, winning 9 out of 12 rounds, 5 individual winners from 3 different riders.
