David Lines wins Dick Londragon Road Race in Aberdeenshire as former winner Evan Oliphant fails to recover from a dropped chain in the sprint

Result – Dick Londragon Road Race
Three of the Raleigh GAC team did the Dick Londragon Road Race way up in Aberdeenshire Scotland, a long way from the Chorley GP they competed in the day before. Evan Oliphant who was second, says “it was just the three of us doing a team time trial for most of the race. We had two other guys with us for the first few laps (9 in total) before Craig started cramping with 1.5 laps to go no doubt due to the effects of the race at Chorley the day before and the long drive home”.
I was with Davy (Lines) at the end and just as I started to sprint and my chain slipped off the chainring and it was game over by the time I sorted it”.
