Report from organiser Peter Washington from the event on Thursday 28th July
Another glorious evening and we only need next week’s last event to be fine to make a full set! Thirty six riders came to the line including two Americann visitors who are here in Weymouth preparing for the Laser sailng trials for Olympic selection. Brad Funk and Anna Tunnicliffe both from Florida and it was a night that the scratch group were unable to catch the rest of the field and produced our USA visitor Brad Funk(Bournemouth Arrow) who lead in the bunch with Brett Edbrook second with Alan Wakely third.
The Scratch group came in a minute down lead by Steve Groome. The top three GC placings were unaffected and I look foward to our prize giving night next week to bring an end to this most successful 6th series.
