BikeP0RN: A Champions Bike from Trigon

A look at the Trigon bike ridden by Gunnar Grönlund in the 2011 Hill Climb Championships where he won Gold!

The Trigon RQC29 with a full carbon monocoque frame is the flagship model for the range right now and costs only £1,350 for frame, fork headset and seat post from the www.cycledivision.co.uk. “A true superbike at real world money” says the Cycle Divisions Gareth Hewitt who has many many years of racing in this country in his legs. Constructed from Venus C8 Hi Modulus Carbon composite material, TRIGON has its own high-grade materials and technology to optimize composite design and fabrication.

The RQC29 is team bike of choice for the new RST Senior Racing team for 2012 and has already been ridden to numerous victories in 2011 by the RST-Trigon Youth Team. For those not familair with the brands, RST and Trigon, both have a famous name behind them in Chris Walker, Milk Race winner, former Criterium Race Champion and many many victories to his name in the 90’s.

Some of the key features in this model are the 1 1/8″to 1.5″ Tapered head tube design which improves torsional stiffness and strength to the front end handling. By using an oversized lower cartridge bearing and lower steerer tube setup you can increase the overall strength and stiffness of the front end, giving you a stronger and better handling bike. Frame weight is around 970g for a size small. There are 5 sizes available and in 3 colours including the new Metallic silver for 2012, which is the image below:

The bike pictured the SRAM Red. The Bottom Bracket for the Trigon RQC29 can be purchased with a standard threaded BB or a BB30/BB86 which allows bottom bracket spindles up to 30mm diameter to be used. We have both standard and BB30 options in stock.

Another nice feature on the 29 is a clean looking top tube with a semi-concealed brake cable routing design under the tube, which helps maintain smooth lines.
