Results of the racing at week 2 of the Ciclos Uno Summer Series held on 31st May at Hog Hill (Redbridge Cycle Centre)

For some unexplained reason only 23 riders, 17 A/B/C/D and 6 E/F/G/H’s took to the start line tonight, but that did not stop the race from being dull. Rob Windsor (ELV) was the first to attack after two laps and gained a 25 sec lead but this was soon nullified by the fast moving bunch then it was the turn of David Farrow (Eagle RC) but this attach was soon closed down.
A few laps later straight after Rob Windsor took the prime from David Farrow (Eagle RC) and carried they both carried on the attack and extended their lead to around 30 sec, but again the bunch took a few laps to bring them back. Then with a ¼ of an hour left to go the bunch split the race stayed that way until the last lap when with ½ a lap to go Mark Shepherd (Bravo Cycles) took a flyer to try and win on his own, although the bunch was gaining on Mark very rapidly he held on to win by just half a wheel with a well-deserved win from David Farrow (Eagle RC) 2nd and Martin Meades (Ciclos Uno) 3rd.
