Justyn Cannon of the RAF CA won the Oxford City RC 10 mile time trial on the H10/181

A very cold morning presented itself to the riders, it was around zero degrees when the first rider started. It could’ve been a very good day had it been at least 10 degrees warmer, as there was not a breath of wind to hinder the riders’ progress. Almost everyone came back to the HQ complaining of cold, “sticky”, air.

Having said this, the fast boys still put in some good times: the event was won by Justyn Cannon (RAF CA) who came in with 20.40 followed by Nick English 20.58 and 3rd went to, twice a winner on this course, Jon Simpkins 21.02.

The women’s event was won by Oxonian CC’s Emma McDermott in a time of 25.48. In the battle between the local Oxfordshire riders the top three were only separated by 13 seconds with Matt Rowley taking the honours with a fast 22.19 from Malcolm Rose and City`s Rob West 22.32.

Team prize went to Oxonian CC with a combined total of 1:09:46, and the best veteran on (2013) standard was Ian Greenstreet (Newbury RC) with +5:12.
