A great turnout of 36 riders signed on for event 1 of the Tour of the NW Circuits at the Salt Ayre circuit in Lancaster.

A strong field resulted in an early break of 10 riders going away. From this break two riders, Matt Cronshaw and James Gullen both of Velosure Giordana Pro Cycling team broke clear of the break with Matt lapping the field and James going on to lap the field twice.
The event raised over £350.00 for charity. The next event will take place on Saturday 22 March at Preston Sports Arena. Race starts at 1pm. All proceeds to charity.
