Anita Saycell (Ystwyth CC)  from Aberystwyth won the Woodstock Classic today in a bunch sprint after 62kms of racing on an undulating course in the lovely Oxfordshire countryside. The race was for 3rd and 4th cat women riders and a field of nearly 50 rolled away under cloudy skies but a warm morning. The ladies raced around the course and on each lap the bunch began to thin out a little bit at a time, however the bulk of the field remained together to contest the bunch sprint at the end.

As they arrived at the line Anita had the strength to hold off Victoria Collins (London Dynamo) and Natasha Reddy (RP Racing) and first junior.
Beijing Olympic and World Champion Nicole Cooke MBE was on hand to witness the racing throughout and was also on hand to present the prizes at the finish.
