Big win for Young George Evans in the Mid Shropshire Wheelers 10 mile time trial

Report: Mid Shropshire Wheelers 10

Young George Evans of Team Bottrill repaid organiser Dave Mellor Cycles for the time spent building and fine tuning a brand new Giant Trinity Advanced TT bike with a prestigious scalp of One Pro Cyclings Sam Williams. The expected challenge from Rhino Velo failed to materialise as a wedding and illness reduced them to just one rider which left the way open for promoting club Mid Shropshire Wheelers to take home the team prize led home by Victor Chetta who also won the Club Championship.

Jenny York, Mid Shropshire Wheelers continues to impress to take the Women’s prize, whilst 72yr old Terry Icke, Newport CC took the Veteran award, whilst the Juniors were dominated by Revolutions Sam Morris.

The preceding Liverpool GHS final saw a field of 15 take to the line and as expected it was a battle between Mid Shropshire Wheelers and Energy Cycles. Overall honours were even with Devon Round taking the boys win for MSW whilst Cadi Jones took the girls title for Energy. Mid Shropshire Wheelers took the team prize.
