Train alone or group? Group
Who is your biggest inspiration and why? Bradley Wiggins (despite recent allegations – true or false) because it was watching Wiggins in the 2012 tour that made me take up cycling.
Road/turbo? Definitely road
Strengths? Sprinting
Weaknesses? Climbing
Bar or gel? Bar on a training ride but gel in a race
Tea or coffee? Neither
Long socks or short? Definitely long
Bath or shower? Shower
Dog or cat? Dog
Costa or Starbucks? Costa
Guilty pleasure? A nice cold pint of larger
Shaved legs or waxed? Shaved
Preferred discipline? Crits
If you could change anything about the sport what would it be? The increasing difficulty for organisers to put on races
Best performance in 2017? Didn’t get much racing in but did put on a good acrobatic display in Majorca
What is the most valuable thing you learnt from the 2017 season? Take it easy if you don’t know the roads…
Main goal for 2018? Finish Perfs
What will you be bringing to the team for 2018? A walking stick for Jason and some good natured banter and hopefully some decent results
