Team Onform is headed up by a number of senior figures all of whom have experience at professional level racing, are former national champions and are qualified British Cycling coaches/team managers. They are also working on a voluntary basis to support the on-going development of this team.

With the upper echelons of UK cycling offering limited opportunties with just a handful of UCI Continental Teams and a limited annual intake into British Cycling’s ODP (Olympic Development Programme), Team Onform see’s a void between the very top of the sport and national level competition.

The net result is few talented youngsters gain entry and access to a ‘supported’ environment. Team OnForm’s desire is to develop, nurture and evolve talent, both from a Junior ‘grass route’ level, but importantly in the key transition from Junior athlete to Under 23 – a void that is successfully bridged by few to the highest of levels.

We aim to support a selection of riders from Junior Male/Female, Senior Female (National Level Team) to a selected pool of U23/Senior Male Riders.

Our mission is based upon ‘Support’, ‘Guidance’, & ‘Development’

Education plays a huge role in supporting the team riders for example, the core of the U23 squad are undertaking degree education at Writtle college, therefore their professional development as a cyclist, plus their studies contribute towards their overall three year degree qualification in Sports Science. Riders are privileged to have access to testing facilities, again endorsing and supporting the ethos of Support & Guidance.

For a new team, we are fortunate to have a number of key sponsors and product partners, quite simply without their faith, commitment and belief in this project, we wouldn’t be able to deliver such lofty plans. They will be announced in the coming weeks.

Unusual for a race team, in our first year we will also be actively promoting three events in the UK. At this stage, we are planning two Road Races & One Time Trial event and we plan, alongside the that of the team name, to brand these events in line with our team partners/financial investors. … continued after advert
