Sunday 14th May 10am @ Saltwick Circuit, Morpeth, Northumberland.

On a sunny morning in Northumberland, Muckle CC held their first road race on a 7 mile circuit around Saltwick, with a field of 57 taking the start line.

The pace was high from the gun, with no breaks managing to establish themselves. Muckle were active all day at the front of the race, with Sam Davies (Muckle CC) in particular racing very aggressively. A testing climb at the end of each lap meant that the peloton was reducing as the race went on.

On the last lap, Kevin Alexis (Army CC) produced a scintillating dig up the last climb and sprinted to victory, with John Bowman (Muckle CC) pipping Richard King (Patron) to the line to take 2nd place.
