News: Brother UK to Sponsor Onform
Brother UK will serve as title sponsor to the Cycle Team OnForm development squad next season. The new team will be called Brother UK-Team OnForm.
The sponsorship will continue Brother UK’s highly successful partnership with team manager Simon Howes, whose Brother UK-Tifosi p/b OnForm elite women’s team swept all before them in 2019. This squad will race next season as CAMS-Tifosi.
“I’m delighted that we can continue to support Simon Howes’ success in developing the next generation of British cycling superstars, while also granting racing opportunities to riders with full-time jobs,” said Phil Jones MBE, Managing Director of Brother UK.

“After enjoying a year of dominant performances from Brother UK-Tifosi p/b OnForm, we’re pleased to pass the baton to CAMS, and wish Simon, his elite riders and their new title sponsor every success in 2020. We have always been keen to help attract new sponsors to the sport, so when CAMS signalled their intention to take over the naming rights of the team with a significant financial benefit to the squad, it was a case of ‘job done’.
“Simon and I discussed the offer and my message was clear: land the new sponsor and we’ll step aside from the title property. Instead, we’ll focus our efforts on the development squad and other opportunities to grow the wider sport.”
The new Brother UK-Team OnForm squad will focus on developing talent of all ages and both genders. Howes’ insistence on professional standards for his amateur riders is not just limited to results, but is evident too in a commitment to scientific training and full race-day support, including team cars.
Writtle University College will remain as a supporting sponsor, allowing Brother UK-Team OnForm riders access to its world-class training and testing facilities, while an inspiring race programme is likely to feature appearances in the National Road Series and The Tour Series.
“Brother UK’s support was instrumental to the success of our elite women’s team this season, and I couldn’t be more pleased to have British cycle sport’s most trusted partner at our side again in 2020,” Howes said.
“Cycle Team OnForm already has an enviable track record in identifying and developing talents like Anna Henderson, the British U23 road and time-trial champion. With Brother UK’s support, I’m confident we can discover and support many more gifted athletes.”
The new team will continue to race in the distinctive harlequin colours of Cycle Team OnForm, with the Brother UK logo prominently displayed. While the design, like the race programme, is still being finalised, Howes concluded that the team could not be better placed for the coming campaign.
By supporting Team OnForm, Brother UK will maintain its commitment to British women’s road racing, following the announcement that the Brother UK-FusionRT team will not race next season. Terry Williamson’s outfit finished second overall in the 2019 HSBC National Road Series for women, and the new Brother UK-Team OnForm squad will seek to provide similar opposition to Howes’ elite squad.
Brother UK is one of the leading commercial partners in British cycle sport. It already sponsors two men’s teams, Vitus Pro Cycling Team, p/b Brother UK and Crimson Performance-Orientation Marketing, as well as funding the fleet of Neutral Service p/b Brother UK support vehicles and partnering VeloUK.
The final composition of Brother UK-Team OnForm’s four squads, and the race programme each will follow, will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Team manager Mark McVitty will continue to manage the female squads, while the male teams will be overseen by Howes.
