Product News: New Bikes Genesis
What’s new from Genesis Bikes (press release)
They write … Genesis bikes have always been adventure bikes. We’ve prided ourselves on being pioneers of adventure cycling, well into that gravel bike genre before anyone even thought of a name for it. Our bikes have been ridden quite literally over the world, helping people live out their two-wheeled dreams.
We’re really excited to show you our new bikes, as they’re the result of us going back to our roots as a brand, looking at what we do best and how we can do that even better. We honestly think that there’s something here for everyone, no matter what they want to do.
If you’re looking for a headline, look no further than the ever-popular Croix de Fer. There’s a brand-new model in the form of the Croix de Fer 50, the fanciest off-the-shelf CdF ever that’s not made of titanium. With a Reynolds 853 frame, Shimano GRX RX800 groupset and larger tyres than ever before, it’s a real luxury adventure machine guaranteed to raise a smile.
The Croix de Fer 50 is the highest specced non-titanium CdF they’ve ever made
It is not just the Croix de Fer 50 that is added to the line-up however with the addition of the Croix de Fer 40 that is a slightly watered-down version of the 50. Outside of the new models there are colour updates across the board and a return of the Croix de Fer flat bar. Both the Croix de Fer 10 and 20 now have a flat bar version, because you don’t have to be a drop-bar lover to get on board with the original adventure bike. Including framesets and all colourways, we now have 14 Croix de Fer models in the range, so now more than ever, there is something for everyone.
But if you’re in the market for something genuinely eye-catching, you need look no further than the Fugio 30. That bike takes a whole heap of gravel fun and wraps it up in a package that’s easily one of the best-looking Genesis bikes to date. The whole Fugio family is looking super chic now, with seriously cool faded paintjobs for all three full bikes and a frameset-only option – just because you’re going to get it muddy doesn’t mean it can’t look great too.
The Fugio 30 is a genuine showstopper
On the road, Genesis is right back to its roots with the Equilibriums and Volares. If you’re after a full bike then the Equilibrium comes in rim or disc brake guises, both built around Reynolds 725 frames that are ready to go but also built to last. If you’re after something truly special, the Volare framesets are the building blocks for the steel bikes of your dreams: flat-mount, disc-ready gorgeous Reynolds 931 and 853 offerings that will look so good built up you might not even want to ride them.

Our last sub-genre is the urban bikes; the Brixton, Flyer, Day One and brand new model, the Broadway. As you’ve probably guessed, though, they’re not urban bikes the way other people do them. Sure, they’re built for practicality, but the practicality comes with a bit of gravel flavour in the shape of things like knobbly, wider tyres making sure that this isn’t a bike that’s only suited to flat, smooth tarmac.
New to the range is the Genesis Broadway
