Hudson Hendry won round 1 of the classic NCRA Series which goes back to the 70s. He finished ahead of Thomas Lewis and Roy Chamberlain in the race in Northamptonshire

Hudson Hendry won round 1 of the classic NCRA Series which goes back to the 70s. He finished ahead of Thomas Lewis and Roy Chamberlain in the race in Northamptonshire. Luckily the rain stayed away and four riders from group 1 nearly did too, only being caught on the last lap by the final top 3 riders.

Two 16 year olds fought out the sprint for the win, Hudson Hendry edging out Thomas Lewis with the ‘slightly’ older Roy Chamberlain (Vet 50 LOL) following them home for third. The four riders from Group 1 filled the next 4 positions with Nick Kershaw of the promoting club Welland Vallley CC taking 4th.

The scratch group ended up sprinting in for 7th place after making up 11 minutes to the front of the race. First lady was Charlotte Deykin who was in the group sprinting with the scratch riders.
