After a very exciting race, Marcin Bialoblocki has won the 2014 Cycle Wiltshire GP in a bunch kick in the town of Wilton.

Report – Cycle Wiltshire Grand Prix 2014
THE BIG PHOTO ALBUM
(brought to you by race sponsor Prendas)
Report (thanks to my pilot Geoff Sherring)
After a large group escaped early on the race, it was expected to stay away but its lead never really got much above a minute before Raleigh split it on the main climb and dragged a group of around eight or so riders across to the front.
Half a dozen riders then escaped but when Pete Hawkins of Madison Genesis crashed, despite the firepower of Bialoblocki and Tom Moses et al, Madison Genesis dragged them back for a bunch kick with Bialoblocki too fast in the sprint for the line. With Rob Partridge taking him to the front and then Steve Lampier dropping him off in the sprint, the RAS winner in 2013 won his biggest UK race for five years.
Photo report
Straight out of Wilton, the peloton was lined out. 100 miles in 3.48.49 ….
A rider from KTM has a solo dig but was brought back as the climb approached.
On the main climb, Tom Moses digs in to split the race
Raleigh then went over the top …Â
More pressure, this time from Bialoblocki and the gaps are opening up
A large group then escaped led here by Kristian House. Will do a name check later …
Most of the teams were represented so it was down to teams like Wheelbase to chase and keep the gap down.
Town of Wilton came out to support the race.
Halfway into the race and Raleigh started a move that resulted in a group going away.
A rider from Metaltek leads a chase group that would eventually catch the front group.
RCJ may have had only five riders in the race but they had good numbers in the group. Here Hugh Carthy applies the pressure before …
… Tom Moses and Kristian House make a move on the climb. It didn’t split the group yet …
Five riders escaped though, Joshua Hunt (NFTO), Marcin Bialoblocki (Velosure Giordana), Peter Hawkins (Madison Genesis), Matthieu Boulo (Raleigh), Tom Moses (Rapha Condor JLT)
But Hawkins fell at which point Madison Genesis put numbers on the front to chase it down.
And in the bunch sprint, Marcin Bialoblocki was fastest despite the stylish throw of the bike by Dean Downing
Around the circuit, there were pockets of people out cheering the riders on.
Peter Hawkins who lost a fair bit of skin sliding on the ground after touching wheelsÂ
