News: Lawless to OnePro
At just 20 years of age, Lawless will become one of the youngest members of ONE Pro Cycling. An exciting prospect with huge potential the Wigan born rider will make the move from British Continental team JLT Condor following a successful season and a number of impressive results.
Lawless commented; “I worked hard this year to develop and try and make a step up and I managed to achieve that. The team’s impressive race calendar is one of the many reasons I wanted to join them and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into more international racing with a British based team.â€

2016 has arguably been his best season to date, with standout performances including taking the British Circuit Race Championship, a stage win at the New Zealand Cycling Classic and securing 2nd in the U23 National Road Race Championships during an extremely hard race in Stockton.
Renowned as a sprinter, Lawless enjoys a hard race where the bunch has been whittled down during the course of the event. Head DS Matt Winston is delighted to welcome Chris to the team having coached the young and upcoming talent for four years while he was a member of the British Cycling Talent Team and Olympic Development Programmes.
Winston commented; “I have known Chris since he was only 10 years old and can’t wait to see him in action with ONE Pro Cycling. I’ve watched his development closely and I was a part of his career for four years during the early stages with British Cycling. Chris has a very competitive edge and is always determined to go out and give 100% to win a bike race, so I know he will have no trouble slotting straight into team.â€
