Marianne Vos won the 18th Centrumcross in Surhuisterveen for the second time with European champion Helen Wyman in second. The world champion crossed the finish line first, just like last year with a half minute gap on British and European Champion Helen Wyman who was just in front of Dutch road racer Anna van Breggen who incredibly has only raced two Cyclo-Cross races this season.
Vos told a reporter: “I started racing Cyclo-Cross a bit later in the season, so I could really use this race to keep my pace up for the coming weeksâ€. This weekend the Elite Women’s field will travel to Italy for the World Cup race in Rome this Sunday. And next weekend most will ride in their own National Cyclo-Cross Championships.

Rob Peeters wins the Men’s Race
The 27 year old Belgian rider of the Telenet-Fidea Cycling Team managed to ride away from his competitors in the last lap and crossed the finish line alone. Dutch rider Thijs van Amerongen (AA Drink) finished second, just before German rider Philipp Walsleben(BKCP – Powerplus).
Lars van der Haar (Rabo – Giant Offroad Team) got 4th place after a bad start early in the race. Rob Peeters gets his first victory this season with this win. US rider Jonathan Page finished in the middle of the pack.
