1-2 for Madison-Genesis in the second round of the VanillaBikes.com Salt Ayre Circuit Series on Tuesday night
![]() |
E/1/2/3/4/W race 1 hour + 5 laps
Ian Bibby (Madison Genesis) was the winner for the second week in a row after going for a long one on the final lap. Eight riders broke clear early in the race and appeared to have had it sown up when they lapped the bunch but a chasing group had kept them within half-a-lap throughout and when the leaders started finessing in the last 5 laps, the chasers quickly closed the gap.
The first 3, Bibby from team-mate Jack Pullar and ever present Dillon Byrne (Maxgear), still took the top spots but Jake Cowan (Biketreks) and Julian Pearson (Teamwallis) came through from the chasers to take 4th and 5th ahead of James Gullen (Team Hope Racing) and Matt Cronshaw (IG Sigmasport).
Thanks to Vanillabikes.com for sponsorship, Tony Sweeney, Geoff Newcombe and Neil Taylor for Commisairing, members of Lancaster CC for marshalling and Graham Atkinson for operating the result camera.
