A total of 303 competitors signed-on for the evening’s racing.

In the opening novices race Chloe Hampson beat her sister and seven times winner Caitlyn to the line for her maiden victory. Tiana Kelly was a clear third ahead of Aaron Kinvig, with Ryan Batty and William Lomas trailing in separately for fifth and sixth. Zoe Bridson pipped Hugo Howland-Smith in the bunch sprint for seventh.

Myles Le Geyt just managed to hold off T.J.Teare in the fight for the honours in the born 2008 & later age group. Lennon Moore had the edge on Fearne Bregazzi, George Kinnish and Ollie Eyres in the dash for the final place on the podium, while Eddy Dillon came in on his own to claim seventh. Alec Sorby, Colby Newbold and Joel Long completed the top ten.

Kirk Michael’s Cian Howard overcame a strong challenge from arch rival Orry Lund to bag maximum points for the seventh time in the born 2007 class. Dexter Russell outgunned Florence Griffin, Jemma Quayle and Archie Dunn in the rush for third, with George Kearns just behind in seventh spot. Rio Kelly was a lonely eighth and Sophie Hindson won the charge for ninth ahead of Ellana Skillan and Zack Bellhouse.

In the born 2006 event Cian Jackson and Ivan Sorby broke away from a leading group of four riders to secure first and second places respectively. Zachary Dowson and Owen Collins lost contact with the two frontrunners on the final lap and had to settle for third and fourth ahead of chasers Drystan Sewell and Corey Peters. Samuel Devereau outsprinted Jenson Artus and Harry Price in the dart for seventh, with Lucy Field ousting Rebecca Cooil for the girls’ prize in tenth place.

British series round winner Niall Colquitt rode clear of the field for an impressive solo win the born 2005 category. Harry Kneen clipped off the front of the chasing pack to grab the runners-up spot, with Oliver Corkish fending off Chloe Dillon, Mairi Harrison and Oliver Sykes in the gallop for third. Tyler Annis and Teddy Dunn were a solid seventh and eighth in front of Ella Griffin, who got the better of Frank Kinnish and Harry Boyle in the tussle for ninth.

Zac Walker attacked breakaway companions Dillon Dowson and Ralf Holden on the last lap to take the honours in the born 2004 group. Dowson forged ahead of Holden to snatch second and Cameron Dudley got past Ben Boyle to secure fourth. Megan Boardman outpaced Kiera Prentice in the dash for sixth and Toby Craig won the bunch sprint for eighth.

Making his move on the penultimate lap, Percy Hampton powered his way to an emphatic victory in the born 2003 class. Jonty Bregazzi made a determined effort to get across to the lone leader, but eventually had to drop back, salvaging second place in a close battle with Thomas Skillicorn and Matthew Cooil. Jack Christian and Tyler Hannay rounded off the top six, with Emily Kinley the top girl in 12th position.

Lucas Mudie was too strong for the rest of the field in the born 2002 & earlier three lapper. Kaitlin Slack was second and Aaron Lund led Emma Draper home for third. Corrin Leeming edged out Joseph Corkish for fifth and James Harrison kept Callum Bratty at bay for seventh.

Completing the double for the second week in succession, Percy Hampton stormed to victory in the under 10 racing bikes. Jake Wilson was a solid second and Jonty Bregazzi outpaced Matthew Cooil, and Zac Walker in ten-strong bunch sprint for third. Darcy Cain was the leading girl in 12th spot.

The under 12 racing bikes also ended in a frantic group gallop, with Charlie Gibson getting the verdict over Tosh Teare, Adam Scarffe, Conor Gelling, Will Corkill, Emily Bridson and Aaron Lund.

In the under 16 racing bikes Nathan Draper and Matthew Bostock escaped from the pack on lap five and stayed clear to the finish where Draper took the win. A chasing group of five riders had been whittled down to three by the finish, with Owen Dudley grabbing third ahead of Conor Davies and IOM Sports Aid recipient Elizabeth Holden.
