Richard Baldwin, Joe Wilson & Max Williamson winners at the Scunthorpe Poly Byton Circuit Races on Saturday

REPORTS/RESULTS (thanks to Steve Parsons, Scunthorpe Poly CC)

After a quick start with a number of attacks & breaks which all came to nothing until Andy Hayton (Squadra  RT) broke away alone to be joined 3 laps later by Richard Baldwin (Bike Box) & Elliott Pike (Lichfield City CC).

These 3 worked well together to build up a 45sec gap. A number of attacks from the main bunch failed to bridge the gap but did bring the time gap down to 20sec at which point Alex Dalton saw his chance to bridge across to the break with his team mate Andy Hayton slowing the pace in the break for him to get across.
These four then settled down to build a 2min lead to sprint it out for the finish with Baldwin coming out best from Alex Dalton. Andy Hayton won 6  laps, to take the sprint points competition from the race winner Richard Baldwin on 5 laps

Joe Wilson (Stockton Whs) made is trip down worthwhile by winning the youth C/D/E handicap race leaving the other C riders he caught the D and E riders to sprint it out to win from local rider Max Poole Lincsquad & Taylor Carr Lichfield CC these two managed to hang on to Joe to contest the finish.

Max Williamson had to put in a similar effort to Joe Wilson in the C/D/E race to win the youth A/B handicap event leaving the other A riders to bridge a 1 min gap to catch the B riders. He only just managed to win the sprint from James Armstrong & Liam Hindmarsh these 3 having pulled away from the rest.
