‘Made in Yorkshire’ was premiered as part of the official launch ceremony at the Palais des Congres in front of invited list of Tour stars, media and special guests.

The film, made by British media & PR company Spokesmen Ltd, which has worked with Welcome to Yorkshire since the early days of their bid to host the Tour, features York based frame builder Ricky Feather riding through much of the landscape that will provide the backdrop of the Grand Depart next year.

“We have made several films for Welcome to Yorkshire over the last 18 months, as well as supporting their press team on media work. It’s been wonderfully exciting to involved from the very start. The next 9 months is going to be intense but fantastic” said David Harmon, Director of Spokesmen and Eurosport’s Tour de France commentator.

Spokesmen’s last film for Welcome to Yorkshire played to a packed international audience in January at the official Nuit du Tour dinner in Leeds celebrating Yorkshire’s successful bid. Previously the company had wowed the ASO with a private film showing including interviews with Yorkshire Tour heroes Brian Robinson, Malcolm Elliott and Barry Hoban and featuring a enthusiastic invitation to sample the delights of racing in the county by Mark Cavendish who has close family ties to Yorkshire.
