The course was large largely flat on a mixture of grass and tarmac but for the adult riders it featured what the winner of the ladies race Gillian Palmer (Sandy Wallace Cycles) described as the “Swiss roll” here the riders rode into a decreasing circle then on reaching the centre cycling out on a different path in the opposite direction. Gillian added “it was something different… it was tough with all those corners and dead turns which made for some great competitive finishes”. Another competitor (Stuart Allan of Kinross CC) described on Facebook the feature as a ‘Spiral of death’.

The weather held and the circuit held only beginning to break up towards the end. KCC rewarded all the children who participated with a medal having been generously donated by Havelock Europa Plc.
