On Saturday the 8th of February 2014, the Uclan Challenge Cycle Sportive will be taking place.

RST Cycle Clothing & Trigon Bikes

The Sportive consists of two courses, a 21 mile loop around the popular Preston Guild Wheel. This is suitable for anyone that rides a bike and is a safe and enjoyable course to complete.

The Guild Wheel Challenge could be used to shift those last few Christmas pounds or simply for a family day out. The second course is called the Uclan Challenge and is 87 miles long, consisting of some of the hardest climbs in Lancashire. Both routes leave from the Uclan Sports Arena, in Preston (PR2 1SG).

The Uclan Challenge goes over climbs such as Waddington Fell, Tatum Fell and Littledale, it can be used as a great early season goal to prepare yourself for the race season for those competitive racing cyclists or can simply be a target to use as an incentive to keep riding your bike over the winter.
