The event, now in its second year, features eight Sportives across stunning Norfolk countryside, offering 20, 50 and 100 miles rides on Saturday and Sunday, plus two additional 20 and 50 mile Sportives on Monday – a total of 250 miles for hardcore riders. Registration is now live at pedalnorfolk.co.uk

Pooley will get the event under starter’s orders on Saturday 3 May and will participate in the Sportives before sharing insights into her career, training and riding at a question and answer session with participants on Saturday evening.

Based at the Holkham Estate – one of Pedal Norfolk’s sponsors – Pedal Norfolk participants can enjoy luxury camping throughout the weekend on the lawn facing the Hall and enjoy an array of family-oriented activities and entertainment.

“Pedal Norfolk offers a unique environment,” says Pedal Norfolk organiser Peter Flett. “Ardent road cyclists can challenge themselves with a variety of distances and routes and get to enjoy time with family and friends between rides – or choose to ride together over different distances.

“We have an amazing array of entertainers, kids activities including mountain and bmx rides, plus the glorious Holkham Estate to explore over four fabulous days. This is definitely an event not to be missed if you are passionate about cycling and looking for a superb Bank Holiday weekend – it’s the stuff great family memories are made of.”

Additionally, for the first time, the event will feature food stands from Norwich’s Feast On The Street co-operative, serving a wide range of high quality and nutritious menu choices. Event sponsor Adnams will host a pop-up bar and chill out zone for riders and their families to enjoy a celebratory drink and relax after their rides.
