Chelmer CC promotes the first round of the RTTC Time Trial Series which is in Essex on Sunday with Matt Bottrill and Russell Hampton just two of the top riders entered. In a field of 80 riders, first rider off is Adrian Jones at 9.01 and among the list of riders entered are paracycling champion Rik Waddon and a legend in paracycling Dame Sarah Storey off at 9.54.

Sarah is one of some well known ‘names’ in womens racing in Britain who are on the start sheet including Hayley Jones, Nicola Juniper and Keira McVitty. The senior mens entry though is short on star riders which is surprising as yet again, this series fails to entice all the top riders to the events like a national series road event would do for the British road racers.

Besides Bottrill and Hampton, other names that stand out for the senior mens race include Wojciech Szlachta.
