Tour of Britain – Stage by Stage

It was some launch of this year’s Tour of Britain. Lots to be excited about for the riders with shorter transfers and something for the TT riders, the climbers, the sprinters and those that want to chance their legs in a break. The route, perhaps not as tough as last years, still has many a sting in the tail and VeloUK will be going through the stages one by one with the person who has to drive them several times, Andy Hawes.

What I remember from the interview was his reference to one of the stages finishing in Hemel Hempstead paying homage to the Archer GP and the Tour of the Chilters. Its a cyclists route for sure but even the press were smiling and pleased and the short transfers.

Yes, no Scotland, but the Tour Series is going there and the Tour of Britain will return there in the following years.  So for a taster, here is some pics of the stage boards that were on display at the launch.
