Perfect conditions – a warm evening, no breeze and a strong field of riders in the senior A category (thanks to the efforts of the series leader JMcC) resulted in an excellent series of fast exciting events.
George Farrell won the opening A 10 lap just edging out Neil Fraser who went for a last lap do or die attack. The closing 10 mile was run at a rapid but steady pace throughout, no significant breakaways and John McClelland won in a well timed sprint finish in a close call with Alex Minting, James McKay and Andy Hastings in the fastest time of the year 20-55
Connor Woodford was on good form taking the B Devil and a second spot in the 10 lap scratch behind local rider Chris Burns.
Wheelers Michael Parry won the Youth A scratch and Block Pursuit while Bradley Clarke made good use of his handicap to take the 8 lap handicap with a strong ride.
Millie Gage won the Youth B scratch and Devil while the Lea Valley duo of Ben Selfe and Louis Bilyard led in the 6 lap Block Pursuit and took the minor places behind Millie Gage in the scratch and Devil. Lauren Higham won the 6 lap Handicap for her first track win of the season.
Ollie Stockwell cleaned up in the YouthCDE events and now has a clear lead in the series.
