Just under 40 riders signed on at Milton Keynes Bowl on another fine summers night where all three races were fast and aggressive.

The E/F/G race was dominated in the sprint finish by the F group riders,with Peter Jones gaining the win. The ever improving Clare Simon was 6th,and a creditable 3rd in her age group.

In the C/D race, a strong trio of Paul Caton,Graham Dolby and Mark Booth formed the break,which nearly lapped the rest. Paul’s sprinting power proved to be the difference at the finish line.

The A/B race followed a similar pattern with a trio of Twenty3C riders and lone “ever strong” Richard Edwards powering away to dominate the race. Glen McMenamin, on his debut ride on his new (and expensive) Cervelo sprinted to a fine win.

Would riders please note the Region 7 Criterium Championships will be held on Tuesday 12 August. The races will be on the big circuit from the beginning. Non Region 7 riders are welcome to ride, but volunteers to marshall would be appreciated. Thanks Chris Gunter
