Carpenter joins seven other pro riders including UCI BMX Supercross Champion Liam Phillips, bronze medalist from this year’s BMX World Championships, Try Whyte, MTB freestyle pro, Sam Pilgrim and newly retired Garmin-Sharp road pro David Millar.

Carpenter commented: “It’s definitely going to be a different challenge to what I’m normally used to but most of the circuit is downhill so I should be OK. I’m looking forward to racing against the BMX and road riders so I’ll see if I can take a few wins for MTB.”

The Parkour Ride pros will take on over 100 amateur riders with a mix of road, BMX a, MTB and fixed gear riders signed up to race. The amateurs will race in a time trial in the afternoon to qualify for the 22 places in the main evening tournament. They will then be seeded against the pros in a head to head eliminator over a specially designed ten-storey circuit, which has jumps, pinch points and chicanes. The obstacles will be strategically placed to super charge the racing and give the riders a risk and reward choice, to gain the edge over their opponent.

Riders and spectators will also be entertained by food, drinks and other attractions across the 10 storeys as well as a dedicated music floor with DJs sets from the Red Bull Music Academy.

Doors will open at 17:00 with the racing taking place between 18:00 and 23:00. Tickets are available on and cost £15 for adults and £5 for under 16s. Tickets will be available to buy on the door.

The full list of pro riders are as follows:

Liam Phillips (BMX)
David Millar (Road)
Manon Carpenter (MTB)
Tre Whyte (BMX)
Sam Pilgrim (MTB)
Danny Butler (BMX)
Ricky Crompton (MTB)
