After a hugely successful inaugural year, the NSPCC Tour of England series returns for 2015 with even more to offer, and an increased focus on providing entrants with a comprehensive riding experience that puts them into the shoes of a professional.

Each two-day tour features over 170 miles of spectacular, scenic roads with timed climbs and TT sections adding an exciting and fun competitive element. The riders will be fully supported every pedal stroke of the way, in seeded groups escorted by motorcycle outriders and serviced by domestiques, with back up from an experienced crew of mechanics and soigneurs.

The series, that includes the NSPCC Tour of the South East and NSPCC Tour of Yorkshire, will see the addition of an extra two tours to be announced soon. The South East event will take place on 6-7 June 2015 and entry is now open so riders can already secure their places for next season.

Richard King, Director of organisers Ride2Raise, expressed his excitement for 2015: “After the great response we’ve had from this year’s events we are pleased to bring even more to the series for 2015. The training camp will further enhance the rider experience in the build up, and help riders prepare for the tough challenges that lie ahead. While we’ve fine-tuned the events themselves, adding flat TT sections to the popular hill climbs, as well as incorporating some private or closed roads into the routes. There will also be improved feed stations and extra domestiques supporting the riders out on the road.

“All in all it’s shaping up to be another exciting year!”

Henry Street, NSPCC Fundraising Manager, said: “After an amazing first year, we’re excited to be expanding the NSPCC Tour of England for 2015 by adding two new tours to the series. The tours will be action packed, taking in some stunning countryside and giving participants the ultimate pro-rider experience. I’d encourage anyone with an appetite for cycling, whether experienced or a complete novice, to take on the challenge for the NSPCC, raising vital funds to help us in our fight for every childhood.”

Over 280 riders of all abilities came together for the two events this year and helped make the series a big success with riders covering routes used in both the 2012 Olympic road race and also the opening stages of this year’s Tour de France.

Two new events will be added to the series for 2015 to sit alongside the South East and Yorkshire events, bringing the NSPCC Tour of England model to new regions and more riders across the UK. Also new to the 2015 series calendar is the official NSPCC Tour of England Mallorca training camp, hosted by Just Pedal, to be held 21-28 March.
