Raleigh bikes for 2015 Mallory Park Youth Road Race League winners

Raleigh, sponsors of the Mallory Park Youth Road Race League which starts in April, have decided to use the under 14 and under 16 leagues as an entrance point into their Rider Development programme.

As a direct result of this, the winners of the U14 and U16 Boys and Girls leagues in 2015 will be invited to join the 2016 Raleigh Rider Development programme which supports up and coming athletes with the loan of a latest racing bike for a full season.

This year’s bike, pictured right, is a Raleigh Militis Race which retails at £2400. It features a full Carbon Fibre Frame and Forks and the latest 22 speed gearing. The 2016 range will be announced in the summer.

In addition to this, the winners will also get a day with Team Raleigh, including a ride with some of the team professionals, and Mallory Park RR league will also provide the winners with free entry to all 2016 events.

League Organiser Mikes Twelves said “This is a fantastic prize that Raleigh has put up and shows their commitment to supporting cycling in the UK at all levels. Coupled with the race programme we have put together for 2015, this should stimulate some very strong competition”

Raleigh’s Marketing Director Geoff Giddings commented “Last year we saw some excellent racing across all Youth categories in the Mallory Park RR League and, given the 2015 programme, are confident that the standards will be increased yet again. So it’s a natural progression that we use this series to find the best talent in the region and support them”
