Matthew Charlton (Farnborough & Camb CC) won the 32 mile circuit of the New Forest, his first open win in the final edition of this local classic. The 34 year old had 38 seconds in hand on Simon Healey (Andover Wheelers), with Simon Berogna (VC ST Raphael/Waites Contracts) 54 seconds down in third place.

Dave Dent (Wightlink/Offshore) left the Isle of Wight ferry at Lymington at 07.00, rode the 7 miles to the start, set off at 07:29, finished 1 second down on Berogna and then rode back to the ferry!

The Circuit of the New Forest started back in the day as a 64 mile test, changing to its current format in the late 80s. Dwindling numbers, as riders chase fast time on dual carriageways, has done for this event, the lack of on-line entry hastening the demise.
