Held at the brilliant York Sport Village closed road circuit, the ladies certainly hit the weather jackpot. Bright sunshine and fabulously warm with barely a breath of wind. The first race was the Go Ride race for novice women. Well attended and a nervous field made it a good race and all the riders had a brilliant day and learnt plenty.

Next up the main event. A much faster pace saw a few riders dropped and eventually won by the very strong Seonaid Thompson of Alba Rosa CC. Rumour has it, her first race back after childbirth and already flying. A really good event and well attended. Its hope it may become a series next year.
