More National Series Events Cancelled
Update: UK Cancelled events now include the Hatherleigh Junior RR (4 April), Pembrey Youth 2-Day (24–25 April) and Isle of Man Youth and Junior Tour (30 April – 2 May). All three series will now begin at Loughborough,
The much-loved events were set to form the early part of this year’s Youth and Junior calendar, across the National Youth Circuit Series, Junior Women’s National Road Series and Junior Men’s National Road Series. British Cycling is now working with the organisers of the Isle of Man Youth and Junior Tour and the Pembrey Youth 2-Day to investigate the possibility of rescheduling the events later in the year, and a further announcement will be made in due course.
All three series will now begin at Loughborough, with the Junior Men’s and Women’s Road Series races taking place on Saturday 8 May and the Youth National Circuit Series taking place on Monday 31 May.
We know that this news will come as a disappointment to riders, parents and coaches, however we are continuing to develop our plans for resuming racing at the earliest possible opportunity and look forward to hearing details of the Government’s roadmap out of the current lockdown later this month.
