Scott Burns of Manchester Wheelers is fastest solo in the Manchester & District Time Trials Association 10 mile time trial

Provisional result sheet for todays’ 10 which was held on a relatively mild day. The first rider started 10 minutes after the rain stopped so everybody was happy. Winner of the solo 10 was Scott Burns of Manchester Wheelers with a very respectable 23:01 on this sporting course in December.

Dave Fearon was runner up with 23:51 and Lyme RC won the team prize. Brian Anthony and Robert Gregory won the open tandem event with 27:55 and believe it or not Batman & Robin (Matt Duck & Matt Lawton – Macclesfield Whls) used their super powers to great effect to win the not so serious fancy dress event with a time of 24:45.

Best solo fancy dress was Rik Meadows of Withington Wheelers who made a very believable Tiger … if you believe that a tiger can ride a bike of course. Thanks to the ladies for some great food after the race and riders, spectators and helpers enjoyed a great end to the 2012 season, roll on 2013.
